California White Oak wooden hollow vessel with carved exterior. Although blue is not my personal favorite color it lends itself to definitely giving some different emotions. I think it’s very ethereal and calming. It works well with the deep amber tones of the White Oak as well. There is some beautiful figure in the piece, some beautiful swirling grain. I do love the idea of having two contrasting surfaces to look at. The outside draws you into the inside. Gives the feeling of a second skin for the wood.
