This vessel is turned from Sycamore. The wood itself is spalted. However not having the distinct zone lines you would normally see, it was the perfect candidate for the Faulted effect. Over the years I’ve developed a pretty good imitation of mother natures magic. It’s has tremendous tone and color. With some fantastic figure as well. I really kept the shape simple to keep the focus on the wood. The color separation is what I look for when making these pieces.
