Carved Cocobolo wood bowl. What an amazing wood. Workability and finishing are second to none. The rim has been carved and charred. I do like the contrast of the black rim against the natural surface of the wood. The color has darkened quite a bit and will continue as Cocobolo and other rosewoods do. Which means it only gets better and better with time. I feel really humbled to be able to work with such a treasure.
