Asymmetrical natural edge vessel in Apple burl. The outside has been carved and painted. Taking the normal process of a natural edge bowl and just adjusting things a little differently. This piece was definitely a labor of love. There are some Amboyna burl patches, I wanted to try some circular patches this time. Sculptural in its look. The base has 3 carved feet, I really think it lends itself to this style. Which helps with the sculptural feel of the piece.
