Old Growth Redwood burl vessel. Live edge with charred rim. I enjoy making each and everyone of these pieces. For obvious reasons, the shape and color and grain are truly a wonder to behold. All wood is truly beautiful but some are beyond words. This one of those pieces. I needed to repair a crack on one side so I decided to get a little playful with this piece. So I created a little bowl within the bowl. I tried to mimic the shape of the piece in the repair…even down to the tiny bowl.
