This piece is turned from Maple wood. The top of the piece represents where a branch had been cut off and was grown over. Usually these areas will have some interesting figure. This one does not disappoint. I have bleached the top portion where there was a light colored sapwood. It provides a wonderful contrast to the deep Amber colored heartwood.

It is finished with mineral oil and wax
