Apple wood hollow vessel with carved exterior. The carving and color work really well with this piece. The color contrast is ethereal and calming. So this piece was a challenge. Not wanting to give up on this piece(I went a little thin on the bottom). So I have been itching to try constructing a foot and adhering it to bottom. I actually really like this as it does lift the piece up ever so slightly. Having said all that this is an art piece and an object so in the end none of all that matters as long as the piece gets to where I am happy with it! Which I am.
